Welcome/Introductions
Substack Notes
Let’s chat about how Notes is working for (or against) you. How could the experience be improved? Any feedback you have will be appreciated!
Monetizing Fiction
Are people paying for your fiction on Substack? Or elsewhere? If so, what’s your secret to getting them to pay up? Are you struggling with getting people to pay for your work? What’s standing in your way?
Open Forum
Space for asking questions, airing grievances, sharing advice, offering encouragement.
Fictionistas is a chill crowd, and this will be a very relaxed event. If you want to add to the discussion, awesome! If you just want to hang out and listen, great! If you want to join us incognito via phone or keep your camera off, a-okay!
Come as you are. BYOB. And for those who can’t join us live, a recording will be made available to all subscribers.
We’d love to see a good turnout for this, so please share this post with your fiction writer friends (they don’t HAVE to write on Substack) and anyone else you think might be interested in joining us.
See you Wednesday!
Thanks for this, @Fictionistas- I hope to have time to join on Wednesday, as there are it would be nice to chat with the Substack fiction community more widely. As to the topic of monetizing fiction, I will be very interested to hear what others have experienced and propose; I have pitched some ideas to Substack HQ that I think would change things in a mutually beneficial way for all sides, so hoping for the best. Happy writing all, and best from Europe!
Can’t wait to attend and meet other fictionistas!
