So sorry to miss this. I will look forward to seeing the recording.

Should you need a topic to discuss, I am wondering if any of the authors are keeping a "process journal" about how they are putting together their novel, whether they are publishing it and whether they are publishing it ahead of publishing the novel. (All present tense, can be changed to past if someone has already done it.) Obviously, I am planning on doing it but also wonder whether I'll make some of my meager number of subscribers head for the hills.

Also am curious if other authors are offering their work for free in exchange for donations to non-profits.

Peace.

(I’m new to Substack, onlu just transferred my newsletter subscribers from another service provider. And trying to find interesting writer-groups.)

I keep a journal of my writing process. I use a goodnotes journal where I each day mark how much time I have used to writing (and my newsletter) + word count for the day and week. I also couldn’t resists a pretty notebook at a local bookstore and am writing my process there daily as well by hand. Other than that, I use Plottr to plan my storyline and Dabblewriter to write it. I used Scrivener in the past, but Dabble is good in that respect you can use it online from any device you connect to internet with. (Also I didn’t need all the bells and whistles of Scrivener.)
